An early morning walk in the sunshine!

At 8am sharp this morning I was collected from my little house by my lovely Mum.  We were going out a walk with her doggies!  And what a lovely walk it was too.

We parked at the side of the road and set off down this path....

It can be muddy here so I had my wellies on.  No mud today as the ground was icy and hard.

My mum has three dogs- Bonnie, Sooty and tiny Roly.  Here they are together.  Bonnie and Sooty are tibetan spaniels and Roly is a mixture of tibetan spaniel and chihuahua (that's where he gets the awful bark)!  Aren't they cute?  They wouldn't look at the camera for me!

This walk is by the Pentland Hills, here they are...

Roly was the only dog that didn't mind standing on the ice!

Here's a side view of Soots too, I couldn't get a nice close up of Bonnie as she was too busy sniffing etc!

Afterwards it was back to my Mum's house for a cuppa and a croissant! Yum!  

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to you!  Well, Max did sort of forget to buy me a card (we don't do presents!) but instead he presented me with a homemade one which is even better.  I chose the Owl and the Pussy Cat one because it was one of the readings at our wedding and I love this illustration!

Yesterday Leo played out in the back garden for ages.  Its amazing how much fun a little person can have running up and down the path, blowing bubbles and chasing a little ball.  When it was time to come in he was very sad and had real tears running down his little cheeks!

Is Spring coming?

I do hope so, it's not quite so freezing in Edinburgh today and the sun is shining out in my back garden.
I bought these daffodils at the weekend as a little treat and they really cheer me up when I look at them!
Leo got a Valentine's card in the post today- so cute!
I'm hoping for a card tomorrow! We'll see what happens!

Shell scarf!

Hello! Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post. The mug is my new fave. I got it in the Emma Bridgewater sale. Its v rare for me to have my nails painted but i had been on a spa day and had a manicure. I'm rubbish at looking after my nails and always smudge or chip nail polish! I'm very excited to report that I have 10 followers! Still can't believe that anybody reads my little blog!!

Anyway back to the scarf. I finished my scarf last night. It's actually v quick to make but I just do a little here and there when I fancy it! It's hard to photograph but is a gorgeous mustard colour and will lift my winter coat!

Lazy Saturday!

Leo is having his lunchtime nap, Max is watching a French film and I've made myself a little nest on the sofa. Perfect to snuggle up with a hot chocolate and the new issue of country living! Bliss!
