Today Leo and I went to our cookery group. Leo goes to the creche while I do some cooking with other mummies (and one daddy!). The group is run by a local initiative and is free, it runs for 6 weeks. We split into different groups to make different things and then at the end share what we've all made to take home. The other people are all v nice and friendly.
We made Carrot and Coriander Soup, Chicken and Mushroom Pasties and Oat and Raisin Biscuits mmm.
I am also feeling very pleased with myself as I have mastered the treble stitch in crochet (complete crochet beginner!). I must have looked a bit silly last night as I sat with my earphones in watching a you tube tutorial again and again with my wool and hook in hand! Max didn't seem to notice as he was watching a film!
So here is the first round of what will hopefully be a cushion cover!
What a great free initiative! You're one step ahead of me on the crochet - I can only do straight lines so far!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. Yummy food and good for a bit of socialising too. I like the quilt you are making, it looks very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI would like a Pip duvet cover, quilt, bad, the list goes on. My bank balance ain't big enough either. It is nice eye candy though, x
I particularly like the cookies and pasties. Were they as delicious as they look?
ReplyDeleteThank you all for leaving comments! I love reading them!
ReplyDeleteThe cookies were extra yummy and Leo and I even ate some on the walk home from the class! xx
